Detroit, St. George Marathon, Mayla is 1

I'm having computer problems.  We have a laptop and a desktop.  Both are really old and struggling.  So therefore I have been failing with my goal of writing more.  I will do a quick update.

A few weekends ago Cling and I went to Detroit for a few nights.  Kay took Eva and Scarlett and my mom took Mayla and Merrill.  It was the first time I left Mayla overnight.  All went well and we had fun.  We went to a Tigers game and Lions games.  I love baseball but football is way more fun live.
Detroit is a cool city but I don't think I will ever need to go back.  I did see Canada and would like to go there.

My mom and I picked almost 300 pounds of grapes and made grape juice.  I love it in my kombucha.

A couple of weekends ago we went to St. George to run the St. George marathon.  We stayed with Lex.  Kimi came with us and my mom and Welby came down and took the kids for the night so we could wake up early and run.  It was so nice of them and very appreciated.  The marathon was horrible for me.  I did not train well though.  I got a hip injury and lost steam.  By the time I was healed I didn't feel like training anymore.  The first 8 miles of the marathon were amazing and I felt great but I went downhill fast.  My feet hurt and my groin was so stiff.  I just ached but didn't cramp.  I probably should have stopped it was really, really miserable.  At one point I had to just yoga breath and try to escape my body.  Clint did great and beat Lex.  My time was 4:31.  Seriously horrible.

I have been doing yoga more and love it so much.  One day I would love to teach it.  I am thinking about challenging myself and doing yoga everyday for 1 year.  Even if it is for just 5 minutes.  To just take the time to breath and be.

Mayla started getting sick on Sunday and Tuesday we went to the doctor and she has Hand Foot and Mouth.  Poor bug.  No spots on her body just in her throat.  She was drooling so bad and wouldn't nurse because her throat hurt so bad.  She got over it quick though but now Merrill has it.  Same thing, no spots just a sore throat.  I think by tomorrow he will be over it.  I am rubbing oils all over him.  He is so sweet.  He always says,"Thank you Mama" after I rub all the oils on him.  He just want me to "nuggle" him.  I love him so.  He is finally off the binky.  For like the 5th time.  He had one last night though because he is so sick I can't say no and he saw it but we took it from him in the night and he hasn't mentioned it.

Mayla turned one on the 9th.  I can't believe it has been a year.  A lot has happened in her first year!  She is truly a sunshine!  Such a happy girl and she is really healthy.  No stomach issues like Scarlett and Merrill.  She is almost walking.  She is standing on her own and practices a lot.  You can see that she knows what to do and working on doing it.  She is sleeping through the night and now for the most part all of our kids are in their own beds and me and Clint are getting much better sleep.
Sometimes Eva will wake up because she has to pee but for some reason finds us rather than the bathroom.  Scarlett just pees the bed or a pull up.  We are trying to work with her on it.  Merrill is potty trained through the night too.  It is so wonderful.  Clint talks about having a 5th baby but I don't know about that.  I feel old.

My dad and Carolyn brought Mayla a cupcake and a couple nights before we celebrated Sarah, Nat and Mayla with a dinner at Tsunami and my mom made each of them a gorgeous cake.

Yesterday we went to Gardner Village with Nat and the boys and my mom came up.  It was just a last minute thing but it was fun.  I love it there and will go back again because Scarlett wasn't with us.

That's all for now.

Love.

I need to go to Disneyland!!!
